BalletNova Center for Dance (formerly Arlington Center for Dance) has been a part of the Northern Virginia arts and cultural community for more than 30 years, producing accessible and affordable dance performances that inspire and entertain.
MOVE! Comunity Engagement Program
Explore dance at BalletNova’s popular Open Houses! Open to the community at no charge, visitors get to take a variety of 30 minute mini-dance classes for both children and adults, to get a taste of what dance is all about. Tours of the studio and light refreshments make this a fun afternoon for the whole family.

Scholarship and Financial Aid Program
BNCD wants to provide dance training for any child who wants to learn, can exhibit a dedicated and hard-working attitude, regardless of their ability to pay for classes. Although we can't offer full scholarship and financial aid benefits to everyone who applies, BNCD awarded over $47,000 in tuition aid last year. For more information, contact Deko Ruch at hruch@BalletNova.org.
Barnes & Nobles Story Time
Each November BalletNova dancers visit area Barnes & Noble bookstores and present a free StoryTime program.
Costumed dancers read to the children, and then perform selected dances from the Nutcracker or other ballets. Children get to meet and talk to the dancers, and enjoy a coloring craft.
Fairs and Festivals
You'll spot BalletNova in free performances all over our community. We regularly perform at Clarendon Day, Tysons Corner Family Fair, and other community events. We also have informational booths at local fairs, so stop by and see us! See the Calendar for the latest news.
