Summer Camps

Dance Kaleidoscope! Performing Arts Camp

June 24 - July 5, 8:30 am-4:30 pm (No class July 4th)

After care until 5:30 available for additional $125 for 2 weeks

Daily classes include voice and dance for musical theater plus a variety of dance and movement classes including modern, jazz, and character dance. Students also enjoy many age appropriate sewing and craft activities. These workshops provide a wonderful opportunity for young artists to explore different ways of expression and creativity learn in addition to learning team building skills and group interaction. There will be a musical theater presentation for parents at the end of the session. No camp on July 4th (reflected in tuition).

Beyond Ballet!

This one-week workshop gives students classes in Modern, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop and more!  Perfect for dancers to expand their horizons in dance! Previous dance experience required.

Dance, Dance, Dance!

The curriculum for this 2 week workshop includes classes in classical ballet, modern dance, character, jazz and more! Students are immerssed in the world of dance including lessons in costume construction, ballet history, vocabulary, theory and video study. Classical repertoire from a well known story ballet will be adapted to students’ level, along with a various dance styles and a presentation for parents will be given on the final afternoon. 1 year of ballet prerequisite.

This summer Intensive provides serious intermediate and advanced ballet students with a rigorous training program designed to enhance technique and boost strength and endurance. Female dancers must be on pointe. The curriculum offers daily classical ballet technique and pointe. Other classes include Pilates, modern dance, repertoire, jazz and choreography. Technique focus classes with video analysis are also part of the program along with seminars on: anatomy, injury prevention, theory, ballet history and vocabulary. Visiting students should contact Ms. Woods – Artistic Director, for audition information.

Sapphire Intensive Study Workshop

This 3 week workshop will immerse the students in repertoire and choreography which will be presented on the final day at BalletNova's Performance Studio. Dancers will learn and perform classical repertoire, original ballet, modern and jazz works. Ballet technique class will be included every morning , the rest of the day will be devoted to learning and rehearsing choreography for the performance. Groups and solos will be created depending on age and level – auditions will be conducted during the morning technique class on the first day. Students must participate in the entire workshop.
