Program

Swan Lake, Act II

In this new production of Swan Lake, BalletNova faculty member Carmen Perez beautifully presents a new production of the second act of the beloved ballet. The Swan Queen Odette shares with Prince Siegfried the magical circumstances that keep her and her friends captive under the moonlight. It's a classic that all audiences should see!

The Soirée

BalletNova faculty member Kristina Ancil Edwards's new work The Soirée is an invitation to go back in time and wander through a party filled with sophisticates, socialites, and star-gazers. Sit back and immerse yourself in big band tunes from the American Songbook of the 1920's, 30's, and 40's. Welcome to the party!

Burgundy

Performed by guest artist GinDance Company

Gin Dance Company Artistic Director Shu-Chen’s work takes a deeper look the roles that women play in this society as strong, confident, capable, and sensitive individuals. Women play very important roles to bring the community together and build a better and healthier world.

South African Suite

Originally performed by Dance Theater of Harlem and choreographed by DTH founder, Arthur Mitchell, Augustus van Heerdan and BalletNova Artistic Director Laveen Naidu. Naidu’s re-staged version shares the texture and culture of South Africa.
