KPop

Adult KPop workshop. Must have some dance experience.

Horizon Miguel is a DMV based dance artist, educator, choreographer, and KPop cover dancer. A Maryland native, he began formal dance training and graduated from Baltimore School for the Arts. Following, Horizon graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and minored in Women’s and Gender Studies on full-tuition dance scholarship from George Mason University's School of Dance. At Mason, he performed works by Andrea Miller, Alejandro Cerrudo, Mark Morris, Donald Byrd, and at Lar Lubovitch's 50th anniversary in the Joyce Theater.

Upon graduating, Horizon has worked with PrioreDance, Haus of Bambi, and currently is an artist with Company | E where he has performed domestically throughout Washington D.C. and New York, plus internationally in Kazakhstan, Thailand, the UAE, Palestine, and Qatar. Additionally, Horizon danced in Todrick Hall's music video "Wig" and has presented his choreography at Dogtown Dance Theater, Atlas Performing Arts Center, and Theatre on the Run.

When Horizon is not involved with Contemporary dance, he is often immersed in Korean Pop (dance) culture and fandom. In 2020, he was asked to create the first collegiately accredited KPop dance course at South Korea's Incheon Global Campus through Mason Korea. Currently, Horizon is an adjunct professor at George Mason University teaching Korean Pop Dance. Additionally, he was a backup dancer for KPop idol Alex Reid of BP Rania and has personally received awards at KPop cover dance competitions from Rolling Quartz and JustB.
