Summer Intensive Audition Information
Summer Intensive Auditions
Open to outside students, female students must be on pointe.
Female-Identifying students:
- Hair in classical ballet bun
- Solid color leotard
- Tights and shoes for female-identifying students may be pink or skin tone; tights and shoes must match
- Ballet flats and pointe shoes
Male-Identifying Dancers (All Levels)
- Black or white t-shirt (tucked into tights) or leotard (worn underneath tights)
- Full-length black tights, black socks
- Black shoes
Video Audition Requirements
Dancers ages 10 – 18
For all exercises, only one side of a combination is needed. Auditioning students should feel free to be creative in the creation of their exercises.
Barre
- Pliés in first, second, fourth and fifth positions
- Tendu from fifth position
- Frappé
- Grand Battement from fifth position
Center
- Adagio including promenade
- Pirouette
- Grand Allegro
Pointe
- Échappé
- Piqué Turns
Please note: a classical ballet variation performance showcasing pointe work may be provided in lieu of class work.
